CDF Starfighter Alpha, a VR sci-fi dogfighter that successfully completed its Steam Greenlight campaign last month, has today released their first gameplay footage showing off some of the game’s physics and weapons.

CDF Starfighter Alpha, created by Blackpool, UK-based Mag Studios, is a single/multi-player title designed to be “a pick up and play type game with simple controls and full controller support.”

With the quick turns and simple control cluster, featuring an ample radar for far away shots, CDF Starfighter Alpha is looking to fill the role of the arcade combat simulator, something akin to classics like Descent: FreeSpace – The Great War (1998), Star Wars: Starfighter (2001), and Wing Commander (1990).

The game is built from the ground up for VR, and will open up a closed beta for DK2 and OSVR-owners in the coming months before its Q1 2016 release. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping an eye out for more videos from CDF Starfighter Alpha.
