spocConvrge, the in-development social VR platform for Oculus Rift, will be hosting a Leonard Nimoy Tribute Event this Sunday.

The Convrge team sent out the event announcement via email earlier today:

Hey everyone,

Shawn and I are huge fans of Star Trek and were greatly saddened by the loss of Leonard ‘Spock’ Nimoy on Friday. As a remembrance we’ll be watching highlight clips in Convrge Sunday 3pm EST.

We’ve also invited a friend who was lucky enough to meet Mr. Nimoy in person and we’re crossing our fingers they can make it.

Save up some of your favorite moments and we’ll play them on the big screen!

Hope you can make it.

– Hayden and Shawn
