The production version of the Oculus Rift DK2 is officially in developer hands. The first report of an Oculus Rift DK2 delivery comes from China.

Neogaf forum user sankao posted photos of the Oculus Rift DK2 package at 3:25 AM on July 24th, just one day after the units officially started shipping. Here’s a quick preview of what awaits many excited developers:

Sankao, located in Hong Kong, writes “The unit is lighter than I expected, which is probably a good thing. Packaging is solid (there is actually an outer box), DK2 should make it to the US without trouble. Lots of goodies inside the box, clean manual, doesn’t feel like a prototype at all.”
