Netease Games have announced that they’re to bring a new action role playing title to Google’s newly announced Android VR ecosystem Daydream.

Google only just announced it’s new Android VR platform Daydream and already the announcements from developers working on projects for it are flooding in. One of the 10 developers featured in Google’s VP of VR Clay Bavor’s presentation to bring games to the new mobile VR platform is Netease Games.

Their new title Twilight Pioneers is described as “an Action Role Playing Game (ARPG) that incorporates NetEase’s next-generation graphics and advanced production techniques.” The company’s previous titles include Tome of the Sun and Eternal Arena for mobile platforms.

Commenting on the company’s latest achievement, Chief Executive Officer and Director of NetEase William Ding said, “As one of the first developers globally to feature on Google I/O 2016, we are pleased to be among the first companies to commit to making games for Daydream. Leveraging our track record in game development and innovation, we are confident of delivering the superior VR gaming experience to players in China and around the world.”

The game is due to debut alongside Daydream in November this year and will also reach mobile devices and the PC platform (although it’s not clear if the latter is VR enabled).

His obsession with graphical fidelity over the years has had him branded a ‘graphics whore’ (which he views as the highest compliment) more than once and he holds a particular candle for the dream of the ultimate immersive gaming experience. Having followed and been disappointed by the original VR explosion of the 90s, he then founded RiftVR.com to follow the new and exciting prospect of the rebirth of VR in products like the Oculus Rift. Paul joined forces with Ben to help build the new Road to VR in preparation for what he sees as VR’s coming of age over the next few years.
