priovr lz kickstarter kitFor those wanting to get in on the PrioVR Kickstarter, but couldn’t back the $349 ‘PrioVR Lite’ kit with 11 trackers, YEI Technology has announced a new less expensive tier aimed toward seated VR gaming.

PrioVR is a low-cost VR motion capture system, currently raising funds on Kickstarter, designed to accurately track your entire body and provide ‘full avatar embodiment’ in virtual reality games and applications.

After a big price drop on the Lite and Pro kits, YEI Technology has now introduced the LZ tier in their Kickstarter which is focused on seated VR gaming rather than full body tracking. The PrioVR LZ kit is priced at $275 and comes with 7 sensors. Unlike the Lite and Pro kits, the LZ version’s hub is wired to the computer. The LZ system is designed to track the upper body which would be sufficient for many existing Oculus Rift demos and might make more sense for those without a large space to play their VR games.
