The bullet time infused action game SUPERHOT has just released a beta version of the game to Kickstarter backers and a new video showing gameplay from the new release.

SUPERHOT has enjoyed a good amount of publicity since its successfully funded Kickstarter campaign concluded in June last year. It was used as a key demo title during Oculus’ demo runs at various shows and won an additional set of funding earlier this year to the tune of $250k.

Now, the Polish development team behind the game has announced a new beta version of the game, available to backers of the Kickstarter campaign. Backers should receive a beta key, redeemable via Steam. Check out the new gameplay video above.

Ladies and gentlemen, we’re hyped to announce that the beta has just been sent out to everyone eligible! Thank you one more time for your awesome support and trust, for spreading the word of SUPERHOT and for all the love we got from you! This is a great day for us, and I hope it will be a great day for you too, once you find the SUPERHOT beta steam-key in your email inbox and activate it in the steam app!

His obsession with graphical fidelity over the years has had him branded a ‘graphics whore’ (which he views as the highest compliment) more than once and he holds a particular candle for the dream of the ultimate immersive gaming experience. Having followed and been disappointed by the original VR explosion of the 90s, he then founded RiftVR.com to follow the new and exciting prospect of the rebirth of VR in products like the Oculus Rift.
