Apparently bound by the fate of our names, Ben Gilbert, Ben Kuchera, and myself gathered ’round the virtual table to chat VR on the pilot episode of Three Bens in VR podcast.

It so happens that tech journalist extraordinaires Ben Gilbert, Senior Editor at Engadget, and Ben Kuchera, Senior Editor at Polygonare digging the VR beat like we are here at Road to VR. Both have been following the scene with surprising tenacity (it must be something about the name); it seemed only natural to gather together and chat about the exciting developments that we’ve all been experiencing and writing about.

To that end, I’d like to introduce the pilot episode of Three Bens in VR, a podcast dealing in the world of virtual reality, as seen through the eyes of journalists sharing the story of this newly invigorated consumer VR industry. For now, it’s just the three of us talking about what’s exciting in the space—it’s amazing how much there is to say about 2015, even before the first month of the year has come to an end. We’re still molding the vertible clay on this gig and seeing where it might best fit.

Have some feedback? Want to hear more? We’d be delighted if you’d drop us a line in the comments below.

That was a great podcast guys! I think between the 3 of you we’re really in for a treat of some of the best VR news. And most likely sooner in the pipeline than most given your your passion for the genre and press reach that you guys have.

I’d have to agree with Ben on the controller input discussion. For the time being at least we do need something that is 100% accurate 100% of the time. Nothing less will do given the ease with which immersion can be broken.

I also wanna say that I like the best experiences in VR shortlist. I think this is a great way to end the podcast and also might help people hear about demos that have slipped under the radar for them. I try to keep with every release, but some inevitably slip through the cracks.
