VR Karts: Sprint, the Gear VR adaptation of VR Karts, is now on the Gear VR store. With the addition of online multiplayer, you can now race around the game’s cartoony kingdom against competitors from all over the globe.

VRKarts SprintIndie studio Viewpoint Games has released a new mobile version of VR Kartsa Rift DK2 title that was Greenlit by the Steam community in early May. The new mobile Gear VR version includes nine unique racing tracks, and like its PC counterpart, supplies all of the standard weapons and power boosts. The game features single player, championship, and online multiplayer modes.

The addition of online multiplayer mode to VR Karts: Sprint, a feature that has yet to make its way to the PC version, will allow players to compete against each other from across the globe. Only a handful of Gear VR titles currently on offer can make that claim, including Anshar Wars, BombSquad, and Shooter Showdown 2.

Although we haven’t had a chance to play the Gear VR version of the game, we did get our hands on the PC open beta. We found it a smart mix of speed and control, because you don’t exactly want to spin out after taking a rocket to the back bumper—and consequently losing your lunch in the process.
