Today kicks off two days of the inaugural Vision Summit, an AR/VR conference hosted by Unity with many of the major players in the virtual reality space signed on as partners. The keynote, which will feature a rare address by Valve’s Gabe Newell, will be livestreamed right here.

Update: Unity’ official livestream isn’t working, but you can see a handheld livestream here provided by Reverend Kyle.

Starting at 10AM PT (click here to check your timezone) the Vision Summit keynote will be livestreamed in the video player above.

The keynote will feature speakers from Unity, Oculus, PlayStation, Google, NASA, and 5D Global Studio. In a rare appearance to the VR world, Valve chief Gabe Newell is set to make a special address via video.

The nature of Newell’s address is a mystery at this point. By all means, the company’s own Source engine is a competitor to Unity, but Unity has also been an important VR development tool which many devs are using to create titles for the HTC Vive and Valve’s SteamVR platform.

We have reports from the ground that the keynote hasn’t started yet, so don’t worry about that blank livestream just yet! Starting soon.

Ok now you should be worried. The keynote has started on the ground but Unity’s livesteam is working. We’re working on a solution if possible.
