Visionary VR today revealed Mindshow at VRLA Summer Expo 2016. The application aims to give anyone access to simple tools to tell stories in virtual reality.

After raising $6 million in venture capital earlier this year, Visionary VR has come out of stealth to reveal Mindshow, a VR application for the HTC Vive which aims to make telling stories in VR so easy that anyone can do it.

Mindshow allows users to choose a scene, stage the set with props, drop characters into the scene, and even animate them using motion capture through the HTC Vive. Once everything is set, users can record the scene and capture voice-over as they are acting out the scene.

The application fills a currently underserved niche in the VR sphere: tools enabling user-generated content creation.

Visionary VR is taking signups for early access through the official Mindshow website.

Looks like fun, nice idea for VR.
Only hopefully people are not just stuck with what the company provides on 3d models as it is not really creating your won environment that way but just building out of in stock prefabs.
On a long term it can get boring if people dont have the feeling they realy see other stuff in other people’s palces instead of jusst another story with same prefabs.

Hope they will keep that in mind as it looks very funny and promising, keep going guys ;-)
