Vertigo Games is hosting a free access weekend starting now for their VR RTS Skyworld, which will be available through both Steam (Rift, Vive, Windows VR) and the Oculus Store (Rift).

Starting now and going through May 20th at 1PM PT (local time here), you’ll be able to play Skyworld for free. Vertigo is also putting the game on sale for 50% off the game’s regular $40 MSRP through the weekend, with the offer ending May 21st.

Players taking advantage of the free weekend will also be able to play the newly released ‘Lost Worlds’ DLC, which adds two playable Skyworlds to the game including a desert world and a volcano world.

Skyworld is a classic node-based RTS that combines turn-based strategy and fast-paced real-time battles.

    I missed it and was looking to try this game since it’s always 20+ dollars…but I had a busy weekend and missed it. I think DEMOs are better than free weekends to be honest for that reason.
