Rev VR Podcast (Ep. 103) – More on ‘Education in VR’ with Rob Swatton and Dave Weir

    Categories: FeatureRev VR PodcastVR Education

Sometimes we touch on a subject lightly in one podcast, only to expand on it in great length in a future episode. This is one of those cases. Previous guests, Rob and Dave for Earth & Sky, come back to dig deeper into education in VR.

Rev VR Podcast – Episode 103

Education is hard. Education in VR will be even harder. Will teachers quickly how to use this technology to bring their classes to magical worlds, or will we have to re-educate them to understand the implications of this new technology? How long will it take until there is a large quantity of hardware available to the schools? There are a lot of questions that are unanswered, and it may be too early to predict how things will unfold.

Should children even be using VR, and at what age is it okay to introduce them to it? Unintentionally, the conversation swerved in that direction. There are several differing answers to that, and we dig into them.

It is easy to hear the excitement in Rob and Dave’s voices as they talk about educational VR. They look forward to seeing how it all pans out, and hope to be involved in the evolution of it with their own projects.

Thanks to Rob and Dave for being on the show again and talking about such an important topic. Feel free to reach out to them via email.
