Ubisoft has announced a partnership with MM Company, a Ukraine based start-up that has developed a chair specifically for use with VR headsets. The chair, called the MMOne, works along three axis and is able to rotate 45 degrees left and right, raise 45 degrees and revolve 360 degrees.

MM Company says that the physical space required for the chair to operate safely is slightly more than four cubic meters, and offers a snappy one millisecond response time with 20 millisecond position correction.

Two prototype MMOne chairs will debut at eSports World Cup (ESWC) Paris Games Week this October where TrackMania 2 competitors will get a chance to experience a series of special tracks in what MM Company is calling “the world’s first full-motion VR tournament.”

General public in attendance at Paris Games Week will be able to reserve their chance with the full-motion chair. No sign up form is yet available, but check back on the ESCW website for any updates closer to the convention.

Ubisoft seems to be gearing up significant focus on virtual reality as evidenced at both E3 and Gamescom this year, where the company demonstrated it’s in-house VR game prototypes. This latest story seems to be yet another affirmation the gaming giant sees VR as a prospect worth caring about for the future.
