Following the announcement of $5.2 million raised in seed funding, AltspaceVR revealed their exciting VR software to the public for the first time yesterday in a presentation at SVVR #13. Road to VR’s Brian Hart was on the scene to capture the presentation as it happened.

    But yeah, I was actually thinking about his the other day too. I was looking into VR Desktop and desktop capture in LiveViewRift.. and pondered how we would emulate multiple monitors in VR. My brain figured that no, lets not emulate monitors, lets just place apps as their native windows in VR, it makes more sense.

    This feels almost like that, like we’re placing browser tabs in VR :D And socially shared too! Hopefully it works better than like… YouTube in Hangouts, well Hangouts is a buggy piece of kit anyway so eh… looks like it’s already better ;) I’d love to see collaborative things in VR… I wonder… I’m thinking about Google Docs and multi user editing… perhaps. Heh, now I’m curious of how this works, and if that would work xD
