At Unpacked in Barcelona today, Samsung announced the Gear 360, a highly portable, monoscopic 360, spherical camera designed for the everyday user. Samsung have pulled out all the stops on the Gear 360 and its design is one of the best we’ve ever seen.

As a lifestyle product, the Gear 360 was perhaps a tough design brief. Form versus function is of course every designer’s dilemma, but Samsung’s industrial design team really have come up trumps with the Gear 360. Its appealing, spherical design looks durable and portable and something you’d want to be seen with (if you’re the sort of person who worries about that kid of thing of course).

So, we thought you might like to take a closer look at the new device. Here are 8 high resolution images that show the Gear 360 at its best (click on the images for a closer look).

Whether it works or not we’ll have to wait and see. Luckily we’re on the ground in Barcelona for Unpacked and MWC this week, so hope to bring you more information as we find it.

Supposed to be $99 according to some other sites. It was listed on a Samsung sight apparently and then quickly removed.

This will not come in at 99.00 bucks… it is using the DRIMe 5s processor inside -Same processor as the Samsung NX500 has and that is a powerful baby)
