‘Kill The Noise’ to Perform Live Concert in ‘TheWaveVR’ This Thursday, November 30th

Social VR platform TheWaveVR is hosting a concert with electronic dance music (EDM) DJ ‘Kill The Noise’ this Thursday, November 30th at 7PM PST (local time here). The concert will feature a mix of interactive, psychedelic 3D visuals and a live set by Kill the Noise.

Known for his collaborations with Skrillex, Fatman Scoop and Michael Angelakos, Kill The Noise is stepping into TheWaveVR to spin what the developers call “a special one night only show to celebrate TheWave VR’s first major update since its beta release back in April.”

The show is co-sponsored by Google and includes “some really dope surprises,” which will come along an update pushed shortly before the concert.

The set is said to last one hour, followed by an afterparty with Drum&Bass Arena + Titan Records in Pearl Grey Music’s Home Cave.

TheWaveVR supports Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, and makes heavy use of tracked motion controllers for the platform’s patently trippy interactive objects.

US-based VR headset owners can download TheWaveVR free from Steam. While non-US users will have to find a work around (read: VPN) to get past the initial download of the program, there isn’t an IP check once you start the exe, so international users shouldn’t have a problem getting into the concert.

TheWaveVR most recently hosted another multi-user VR experience built around ToKiMONSTA’s new album Lune Rouge. The platform has also played host to Heavy Grinder, Ninja Tune artist Ash Koosha’s AKTUAL, and Strangeloop’s N-FOLD.
