Beat Games is getting ready to unleash their next music pack for Beat Saber (2018), VR’s popular block-slashing rhythm game.

The studio says the game’s second official music pack should arrive on June 10th, although they haven’t specified the artists, genre, price, or anything really at this point besides the launch date.

A few keen-eyed Twitter users have managed a pretty good guess regarding the contents of the next music pack however, matching up and then pixelating the album cover of Imagine Dragons’ single Natural.

Launching in March, Beat Saber’s first music pack was Monstercat Music Pack Vol. 1, which included 10 songs featuring a pretty narrow array of electronic dance music, presented each with five difficulty levels: easy, normal, hard, expert, and expert+ modes.

The game’s first paid DLC music pack sold for $13, or $2 per song when purchased individually. While it’s uncertain, it’s possible Beat Games will try to hit that same price point for their second music pack.

Beat Games has confirmed that June 10th will be the global launch date for the next music pack, which will include support for all targeted headsets including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Windows VR, PSVR, and Oculus Quest.

I have nothing against variation in genre, although I do feel the current library of songs is not only a great fit for the gameplay but a really fun mash of genres already despite often being generically referred to as “electronica”. Almost* any single artist for an entire song pack would kill replayability though, even if Imagine Dragons were my favorite band I’d be against it. Variety is the spice of sabering.

This is like me selling you a trip to a music festival calling it a ‘mash up of different genres” and then you get there and find out what it actually is all different types of death metal, i.e. thrash, death core. And then everyone gives you a blank expression wondering what your upset about. The description of this game should plainly say.. Electronic/dance/rap. Don’t call it a mash up of genres or “adrenaline pumping music”.. I shelled out $30 bucks for this game and every single song on there is complete sh*t. I will never play this game again it was a complete waste of money.

F& that and greedy Czechs. So greedy to never make promo of Beat Saber. I will not pay them 20 EUR to pay that silly game. For 8 EUR I could try as developing that took some effort.

Lol if you’re that mad you must really want it. Seems funny to say it’s worth almost nothing then. Quest come with a free demo bee tee dubs.

I’m Hoping they also release a (big) update for it, allowing you to hook it up to a computer and put additional tracks on it. If you own the song, then the maker of this game can’t be sued or worry about licensing fees & royalties. Seems like the smartest method. But Also release packs, for people with no pc, and/or don’t have any stored media.

Only one year ago I made the decision to leave my old work and I am too glad now…. I started off earning a living through the internet, for a company I discovered on the internet, for a few hr regularly, and I make money way more than I actually did on my office job… My pay-check for past 30 days was 9,000 US dollars… The best thing about this is the extra time I obtained for my kids…and that the single requirement for this gig is simple typing as well as having access to broadband… I am also able to put in quality time with my close relatives and good friends and take good care of my little kids and also going on a family vacation with them very frequently. Don’t ignore this chance and try to act quick. See, what it’s about… concepttrumpet.im-internet.eu

They should be much more forthcoming that they are promoting certain kinds of music with this game. Personally I have zero interest in any of songs. The music is a major part of the product, and describing the game as “adrenaline pumping music” when in fact its a bunch of expletive, obnoxious, rap is nothing short of misleading.
