Although Sony is working on engaging single-player experiences for Morpheus, their console-based VR solution is uniquely positioned for couch-based party gaming where local players interact with a player using the headset. Their new demo, The Playroom VR, does just this, shown off for the first time at E3 2015.

From the first time that Oculus revealed the ‘Crescent Bay’ prototype back at Oculus Connect 2014, they said they knew that no matter how good they made the headphones, some people would still prefer to use their own. And thus the company promised that the headphones would be removable. The consumer version of the Oculus Rift delivers on that promise.
