samsung gear vr note 4 black friday sale priceIt seems Samsung were true to their word when they proclaimed that its first VR Headset would be available ‘Early December’ back at SDC this year. A Gear VR sales page is now online, allowing prospective owners to get their hands on the unit for $199.

Samsung’s online US store has just been updated, bringing live a sales page in their ‘wearables’ section for people to grab the company’s new VR Headset, powered by their Note 4 mobile phone, Gear VR. AT&T also have the device listed – but currently as ‘Out of Stock – Due Today’.

The page has information on specs and a download for the user manual, albeit with no sign as yet of the expected Samsung bluetooth gamepad. Samsung’s bluetooth gamepad, which will likely be recommended when playing certain games, can be bought from this link on Samsung’s store.  As expected – this seems to be available only in the US at present.

His obsession with graphical fidelity over the years has had him branded a ‘graphics whore’ (which he views as the highest compliment) more than once and he holds a particular candle for the dream of the ultimate immersive gaming experience. Having followed and been disappointed by the original VR explosion of the 90s, he then founded RiftVR.com to follow the new and exciting prospect of the rebirth of VR in products like the Oculus Rift. Paul joined forces with Ben to help build the new Road to VR in preparation for what he sees as VR’s coming of age over the next few years.

Are AS&T retail or any of the chain stores going to be selling and demoing it? I need to see it to consider it.

    Thanks
