First Trailer for ‘Final Approach’ for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift Lands

We wrote yesterday how Texas based code-house Phaser Lock Interactive was to debut their new VR airport management title Final Approach at PAX Prime in Seattle from Friday. Well, feast your eyes on the very first trailer to accompany the game’s debut at the show.

The new trailer, sent to us by Phaser Lock Interactive, features much that we were excited about, primarily the “…ability to physically stoop low to inspect your tiny domain, from there you can take hands-on control of fire hoses for putting out flaming disasters and anti-aircraft guns for fending off attackers.”

Final Approach will be on show, on HTC Vive as part of Valve’s presence at PAX Prime which starts Friday and the title is slated to launch alongside Valve’s flagship SteamVR headset at the end of the year. An Oculus Rift version will follow later.

The concept is super interesting. It looks fairly polished so far. The only thing that seems a bit off is the drawn path for the plane to take and then the actual path the planes take. This could make it super frustrating once there’s a lot of action in the sky if you can’t count on the flight path to be 100% accurate.
