FOVE, the eye-tracking VR headset, has reached its crowdfunding goal in less than 4 days time. Stretch goals have yet to be revealed.

After having quickly blown past the Kickstarter goal in the course of 96 hours, the landmark VR headset has come ever closer to actualizing the motto “the world’s first eye-tracking virtual reality headset.” Of course, we’ll have to wait nearly a full year—the estimated shipping date being in May 2016—to see if the team can deliver, or in the case of Nimble VR, isn’t bought up by an established manufacturer like Oculus.

In any case, congratulations are in order for FOVE’s quick ascension to its $250,000 Kickstarter goal, half of which was reached only in the first 24 hours of the campaign’s launch. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the team in the next 42 days, the time left until the official end of the campaign.

Early bird pledge opportunities are still available at the $349 mark that includes the white or black FOVE VR Headset, SDK access, docs, samples, engine plugins and access to developer forums.
