Starting next month, the NBA and NextVR will be broadcasting 26 basketball games live in VR, some of which are free to watch for US-based users with a VR headsets.

The VR viewing schedule tips off October 26th with the New Orleans Pelicans vs. the Houston Rockets, and will feature a top game each week throughout the NBA regular season. You’ll find the schedule at the bottom of the article.

The games listed as Free League Pass Games are marked with an asterisks (*); these will be free for US users to watch, and will be available for social viewing in Oculus Venues (Quest, Go).

All other games on the schedule will require a League Pass subscription, or a one-off purchase to watch the game. Check out the different League Pass packages here.

As an official VR streaming partner of the NBA, NextVR is not only serving up its weekly stereoscopic 3D game broadcasts in VR, but also full game replays, highlights and other on-demand content.

NBA League Pass games will also be able to watch all standard 2D streaming content with NextVR’s Screening Room, a VR theater room in the NextVR app.

The NextVR app is free and available on Gear VR, Google Daydream, Microsoft VR headsets, PSVR, Oculus Go, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Quest.
