Alongside Sony’s big reveal of the long-awaited price and release date for PSVR 2 today, the company also dropped some new info on 11 games coming to the headset in 2023.

Firstly, four newly revealed games, then seven ports which are making their way to PSVR 2. You’ll find expanded descriptions of the games over on the PSVR blog.

Newly Announced Games

The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR

Supermassive Games just revealed The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, or what it calls a “fast-paced roller coaster action-horror-shooter where every move you make, and everything you see, could mean the difference between life and death.” Set inside the sinister world of The Dark Pictures Anthology, Switchback VR makes good use of headset eye-tracking: some enemies only move when you blink (Visine not included).

Crossfire: Sierra Squad

Smilegate tossed out a trailer to a brand-new VR game called Crossfire: Sierra Squad, a first-person shooter in the Crossfire universe. The game is played either solo or in co-op mode with up to 4 players on a team as you battle against AI baddies. The studio says there are 39 types of weapons including pistols, rifles, throwable – and throw back-able – grenades and sniper rifles with revolutionary scope mechanics give you plenty of options to dispatch 17 types of enemies.

The Light Brigade

Funktronic Labs showed off a new single-player roguelike game called The Light Brigade which it says is “filled with immersive gunplay and moody mystery.” Uncover the mystery of the gloomy ‘Sunken World’ as you climb the ranks of the titular Light Brigade, unlock firearms and unique spells. The Light Brigade will be available for pre-order starting November 15th.

Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue

tinyBuild Games and Steel Wool Studios (Five Nights at Freddy’s) announced a VR take on viral indie hit Hello Neighbor, which is coming to both PSVR and PSVR 2 with cross-buy. “Mr. Peterson’s creepy house takes on a new level of immersion in VR, and there is nothing quite as scary as actually seeing that familiar shadow tower over you just before everything goes black,” tinyBuild says. Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue will be available for pre-order starting November 15th.

    F*CK YES FOR SWITCHBACK!!!
I’m more excited for this than Call of the Mountain! Rush of Blood is still one of my favorite VR games

    • Pulstar44

      This!

  • Till Eulenspiegel

“Switchback VR makes good use of headset eye-tracking: some enemies only move when you blink”

This is scary – the game knows when you shut you eyes and will do a jump scare when you open your eyes.

  • ViRGiN

    F

This looks bad. Again mobile grade games.

  • vancleefmustache

Yeah, these are pretty sweet! I’m trying to figure out how I am going to save for everything by the end of Feb. I think I am going to spend as much on games as I do on the headset.

  • Octogod

    Pretty horrible lineup.

  • Torsten Balle Koefoed

I’m really not impressed by this lineup. I had high hopes of Sony using their muscle to secure some great games to push VR forward, but this is rather disappointing. Hopefully, more interesting stuff will come before/at the release.

    • Ahmad H. Gad

They treat VR as a niche. They won’t do anything to take it to the next level, and if Meta fails we can all say byebye to consumer VR for the next 30 years because nobody (including Sony) will want to touch it even with a 6 ft pole.

      • Mike EY

Valve invented it, gave it to Meta, invented the first and still only decent game (HL:A), are making dual 4k/eye oLED headsets with eMagin, finger splay detection in controllers, new VR enabled games, platforms…

        • ViRGiN

          lol

      • NL_VR

You use VR or are you watching from the outside. We dont have to say bye bye

    • JT

My God it is only the beginning. So many wining babies out their. It is sickening!

      • ViRGiN

        calm your horses.
this is a trash lineup. and it remains trash lineup until it’s not. sony has to prove itself. no space for any doubts.

      • kool

Im still waiting on some big announcements or at least a big list of ports and updates to games like sairento.

  • Sky Castle

Most of these games are weak or ports from PC. Lame.

  • Sven Viking

Kind of disappointing not to see some of the old exclusives like Astro Bot and Blood & Truth getting updated. Maybe later?

  • Ad

The rollercoaster game is just embarrassing. Sierra squad seems too fast paced with not much cover shooting but I guess that’s not that common in VR right now so maybe it could be a fun time (I hope the AI is good). The enemies of Light Brigade look really dumb but otherwise it looks great and has a good setting. I don’t play a lot of horror but Hello neighbor looks really good and like they didn’t compromise on the stylizing.

    • NL_VR

Rollercoaster game is “sequel” to Rush of blood. Even this simple take of a game it was one of the best. I think this one will be good and must be experienced.

      • ViRGiN

that’s like saying beat saber is “one of the best” vr games.

        • NL_VR

          Yes if you like rythmgames

      • Ad

        No

        • NL_VR

have you played rush of blood ?

      • Chad Miller

Agreed. I don’t think this guy ever played it. It was one of the many great PSVR exclusives that didn’t have an equivalent on the PCVR. Along with Astrobot, RE7, and Wipeout – made the PSVR well worth it, even if it was an entry level VR setup. This comment section is pessimistic and sad.

  • Mike EY

Terrorist training, army training, religous terrorist training, neighour terror, baby games, endless zombies (reload simulator)… People are paying over $1000…

  • Zack71

    What a wonderful game line!
I will surely spend all my monthly salary to play again with Rush and Blood!
    Picooo, I am coming!

    • ViRGiN

      you make $550 a month?
      sorry.

  • Ryan

    VRChat?

  • gothicvillas

Besides RE8 there is nothing substantial unfortunately. Sony must stop treating VR like some side show to get quick uh and ah and boom. We need full blown games please and not these snipets. They should ask themselves what if this line up was for ps5 launch. How would that go huh? So why treating VR like some dumb relative.

  • HornyYeti

    Mangas like this are amazing.
