To celebrate the 100th episode of the Rev VR Podcast, some folks in the VR community decided that it would be fun to do a roast of me.

Rev VR Podcast – Episode 100

What is a roast?

A roast is an event in which a specific individual, a guest of honor, is subjected to good-natured jokes at their expense intended to amuse the event’s wider audience. – Wikipedia

The Roast of Rev. Kyle was held on March 29th, 2015, inside the Overdrive Theater within VR Chat. This was a public event, and over 30 people attended the roast live.

Who are the Roasters?

  • Blair Renaud, Developer
  • Cris Miranda, Podcaster
  • Jason “Apieceoffruit”, Podcaster & Indie Developer
  • Matt “Stompz” Carrell, VR Locomotion Expert
  • OlivierJT, Award Winning Developer

The Roastmaster for the event is Matt “Holotape”, Podcaster, Musical Artist.

The video of the event can be viewed below, but I have also uploaded the audio from the roast as episode 100 of the Rev VR Podcast.

Thanks to all that participated, and thanks to my audience for listening. Here’s hoping the next 100 turn out just as amazing!

Terrible recording quality guys. Chat programs like Skype usually add a lot of compression to your audio and depending on the quality and settings of the mics that everyone uses, the levels vary. Next time you do a VR setting type of podcast, I would suggest that everyone involved make a CD quality recording on your own computer and then send the high-quality files to whoever edits the podcast to mix in Garageband or some other sound editing software.
