Digital Domain’s motion capture stage will house the first VRLA event

Oculus VR is among a number of organizations and developers who will be present at the first public VRLA Meetup being held on April 7th.

If you’re interested in VR and are in the LA region, the VRLA Meetup is holding their first group gathering on April 7th. VFX house Digital Domain is hosting the meetup in their motion capture stage in LA. Organizer Cosmo Scharf was kind enough to prepare the details for Road to VR:

vrlalogo2VRLA is a monthly virtual reality meetup event in Los Angeles designed to build and foster a community of VR developers, vendors, hobbyists, and enthusiasts. VRLA is the best place to get hands-on time with exciting games and demos, get valuable feedback on your own software, and explore this incredible new art form together.

When: Monday, April 7th, from 7:00 – 10:30 PM

Where:
Digital Domain, one of the world’s best visual effects houses, will host the first event at their incredible motion capture stage in Playa Vista. Their address is 12641 Beatrice Street, Los Angels, CA, 90230.

Registration:
Please sign up for the event on Eventbrite so we can get a sense of how many people to expect. Space is limited and priority goes to those with something to show so please wait for a email from us confirming your attendance.

Parking:
Unless you’re an exhibitor, street parking is unfortunately the only option. Sorry.

Big thanks to our sponsors Digital Domain, Oculus VR, and Epson, without whom this event would be impossible! If you’d like to demo your software or get involved in some other capacity, please contact Cosmo Scharf at cosmoshark@gmail.com.
