One of the new tech demo's demonstrated with the new Project Morpheus prototype at GDC 2015

Sony has revealed the specs for the latest version of their VR headset, Project Morpheus – 120Hz, 1080p low persistence with 18ms latency. These details shared a few moments ago at Sony’s special Project Morpheus event.

The presentation was short as it seems the lions share of the allotted 4 hours for the event was to give time enough for attendees to get their hands on the new prototype.

We’ll be bringing you early impressions as soon as we can as both Ben and Scott scramble for some demo time. In the mean time, catch a glimpse of the new tech demo Yoshida spoke of in his presentation. You can catch up with the details from our recent live blog over here.

Based in the UK, Paul has been immersed in interactive entertainment for the best part of 27 years and has followed advances in gaming with a passionate fervour. His obsession with graphical fidelity over the years has had him branded a ‘graphics whore’ (which he views as the highest compliment) more than once and he holds a particular candle for the dream of the ultimate immersive gaming experience. Having followed and been disappointed by the original VR explosion of the 90s, he then founded RiftVR.com to follow the new and exciting prospect of the rebirth of VR in products like the Oculus Rift. Paul joined forces with Ben to help build the new Road to VR in preparation for what he sees as VR’s coming of age over the next few years.
