‘Screensavers VR’ is Part Art, Part Visualizer, & Wholly Nostalgic – Launching Next Week

7

‘Screen-saving’ relaxation title Screensavers VR seeks to bring virtual explorers back to the 90’s, an era littered with CRT monitors known for their lackluster mitigation against pixel burn-in. Screensavers were a necessary part of keeping monitors working properly, and some of the most popular screensavers of the time will soon be fully explorable in VR when Screensavers VR arrives on Steam (for all major PC headsets) on October 16th.

Watch 9 Minutes of ‘The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners’ Pre-alpha Gameplay

11

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is an upcoming VR survival horror game that places you squarely in the show’s apocalyptic universe of zombies. While developing studios Skydance Interactive and Skybound Entertainment lifted the veil on the game’s trailer today (see it here), the studios also published a nine-minute video on the game’s site that shows off some pretty intriguing pre-alpha gameplay footage—and it’s definitely giving off Fallout vibes.

Tyler Hurd is the creative genius that made me write that headline; it’s a sentence that never existed until now, and I thank him for letting me bring it into the universe. And while I really can’t think of any better way to describe what his studio Gentle Manhands has unleashed upon the PC VR headset-owning world, here it goes: Beach Body Bros (2019) is weird, fun, and a little homoerotic, but most of all it’s extremely Tyler Hurd.

‘Star Wars Vader Immortal – Episode 2’ Review – Shorter Story, Awesome Dojo Action

The second installment of Star Wars: Vader Immortal is here, the narrative-based VR adventure that tosses you back into Darth Vader’s mysterious Imperial fortress situated on the lava planet Mustafar. Like the first episode, which we gave a respectable [8/10] in our review, the second is pretty short but also includes a “Lightsaber Dojo II” where you can use your newly acquired force powers to battle waves of enemies for hours of frenetic fun. This episode is however shorter than the first, although the new Lightsaber Dojo is a welcome addition that puts both your dueling abilities and force powers to good use.
