‘Star Wars Vader Immortal: Episode 3’ Gets Fresh Trailer Ahead of Launch

11

ILMxLab’s third and final installment of Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is set to launch on Quest and Rift on November 21st, so it’s high time we get a new trailer—if only for hype’s sake.

In the final installment, players will pick up right where they left off in Episode II and where they will [spoiler alert] lead an attack on Darth Vader’s stronghold on the lava planet Mustafar. This time around, we’re supposed to have “more help thanks to a supporting cast of friendly combatants,” Oculus says in a blog post.

You’ll also get to tool around with an Imperial Blaster, thermal detonators, and even an ancient lightsaber, which should be a nice addition to the force powers and lightsabers from episodes past.

Over the course of its two previous episodes, ILMxLab & Oculus’ co-venture into cinematic VR storytelling has really served up an astonishingly well-realized VR experience which comes part and parcel with some pretty surprising replay value thanks to its Lightsaber Dojos. We’re hoping to see more frenetic fun in whatever ‘Dojo’ the third installment brings to the table.

What’s more, if you’re looking to buy a Quest soon, Oculus is giving away all three episodes of the Emmy-nominated series Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series—normally costing $29.97) for free with the purchase of an Oculus Quest headset between November 21st and January 31st.

Just hope it’s a bit longer this time but I doubt it. The whole 3 episodes probably only come to just over an hour’s playtime. I’d love for them to make more though
