‘Ready Player One: OASIS Beta’ Gets New Levels in ‘Elite Gunter Edition’ Paid DLC

Ready Player One: OASIS beta launched for free this summer on HTC Vive in tandem with Steven Spielberg’s film Ready Player One (2018). Boasting a collection of RPO-themed VR games and places to explore, the collection is getting all new levels, environments, and enemies in the Elite Gunter Edition paid DLC.

The updated game is now available for Viveport Subscription members, either counted as one of the free monthly titles, or costing $20; it’s available on Viveport for regular customers too as the Elite Gunter DLC pack. You can check out the game’s Viveport store page here.

Important to note: Currently the Ready Player One OASIS beta available through Viveport only officially supports the HTC Vive, although the company says a future update will add Oculus Rift compatibility. The original free version available on Steam supports Vive, Rift, and Windows VR headsets, so we imagine the updated game will add support for other headsets in due time.

Battle for the OASIS

Help to save the OASIS by defeating waves of IOI Sixers. Advance through the trenches of Planet Doom towards the snowy planes that surround Anorak’s Castle. Developer: Steel Wool Studios

DLC Update: With the Elite Gunter Edition, you’ll encounter new bosses across 8 new levels as you battle for control of Anorak’s Castle.

Gauntlet

    Thats a great deal because viveport is only 8.99 a month and that makes it possible to play many games for a budget.Also you get two weeks free.

      Right! it used to be like nobody used viveport cause steam was free and had the majority but 8.99 a month is starting to really equate its value. I assume the RP1 stuff is all gimmicky though, but who knows until i try it.
