Swords & Sorcery
Blade and Sorcery: Nomad – $30
Blade and Sorcery isn’t a single player sociopath’s playground any longer, because with its last rash of updates, the game now includes a proper story, lore and progression system to dig into. Of course, you can still go sandbox mode, and duke it out with all sorts of ragdoll baddies that might just bring out the bloodlust buried within. And yes. Please (please) stay away from TVs, monitors, dogs, cats, windows, mirrors, children, and anything else you don’t wish to immediately uppercut into oblivion.

Until You Fall – $25
Until You Fall is now on Quest, bringing along with it a refreshingly unique approach to VR sword fighting. It combines the satisfaction of a hack & slash game with the depth of RPG combat, all wrapped up in a VR-native design. The game’s Quest port is a near-perfect translation from its PC counterpart which benefits from the lack of tether.
Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked – $30
DEMEO is a tabletop game that used to riff on Dungeons and Dragons, while not exactly being DnD. But now, with the blessing of the Wizards of the Coast, Demeo now hosts real DnD-themed dungeon crawling, which you can do with friends, like-minded strangers, or by your lonesome. As a cross-platform game, you’ll most likely instantly find a ragtag group to assault the game’s numerous dungeons, each of which has its own boss to beat. Mix it up in mixed reality, too.

Waltz of the Wizard – $20
Waltz of the Wizard has come into its own over the past few years, providing not only a heavy dose of immersion thanks to the fun and whimsical gadgets inside your castle-top keep, but there’s also now a dungeon crawler bit of the game that features gestural-based magic spells, which let you fight arcane golems with your own two hands.
