Just a few days prior to their ‘Step into the Rift‘ press event in San Francisco, Oculus has accidentally leaked what they’ve called a “placeholder concept” image which shows some never before seen additions to the Rift VR headset.
Along with the first look at a VR input controller from Oculus, today’s leak shows a front-facing camera on the consumer version of the headset as well as a redesigned positional tracking camera.
Oculus today launched a revamped version of their website to prepare for the upcoming ‘Step into the Rift‘ event later this week. With it came a slew of previously unseen photos which show, for the first time, an Oculus input controller, the ‘SID’ or Simple Input Device.
