Lenovo’s own investment group and wearable displays manufacturer Kopin Corporation have formed a joint venture named Lenovo New Vision. The combination of Lenovo Capital and Incubator Group’s (LCIG) global resources and Kopin’s wearable technology expertise hopes to grow the enterprise Augmented Reality market.
Display specialists Kopin have unveiled a tiny, high resolution OLED ‘microdisplay’ designed specifically for the use inside immersive headsets. It’s dubbed ‘Lightning’ and it could open the door to a thinner and lighter form of VR headset.

When I attended the Experiential Technology Conference in May 2016, I heard from a number of commercial off-the-shelf brain-control interface manufacturers that their systems would not natively work with VR headsets because there are some critical portions on the head that are occluded by VR headset straps.
