Like new consoles, new VR headsets are only as good as the games you can play on them. Playful’s Lucky’s Tale and CCP’s EVE: Valkyrie are coming for free to customers that pre-order the Oculus Rift, but the company says that they expect many more titles to come down the pipeline by the end of 2016—also including Minecraft.
Oculus released a bevy of teaser photos in today’s rush to pre-order the new Rift, the company’s first consumer grade tethered VR headset. Among them was the DK1-style carrying case containing all the goodies set to come along with it. And it’s set to be totally “doper than ever.”
The Oculus Rift pre-order bundle is selling for €699 in select EU countries, or just about $750—a hefty $150 more than the US price of $599. Oculus founder Palmer Luckey shot off a round of tweets this morning defending the inflated price.
