VR creators Kite and Lightning, the minds behind the dazzling Senza Peso amongst many others, have released their latest experience named ‘GE Neuro’, dubbed by the team as a “…portal into the human brain, allowing viewers to enter, view, and explore the mind in a brand new way.”
While the Oculus Touch controller is largely designed to tell the computer where a user’s hands are, the controller also has an idea of what a user’s fingers are doing. New documentation adds to our understanding of the controller’s hand-tracking capabilities, and reinforces the device’s deliberate name.
Cloudhead Interactive were at PAX Prime in Seattle this weekend, showing off their latest (and newly titled) first installment in their ‘The Gallery’ saga, Call of the Starseed, featuring their recently announced ‘Blink’ VR locomotion system. Time Machine VR is an action adventure title from Papo and Yo developers Minority Media, which puts you in the shows of a time-travelling scientist searching for an ancient cure for a modern day plague. It’s a native VR game for the Oculus Rift and it looks stunning.
Oculus’ recently released 0.7 SDK and Runtime Drivers were a significant step forward in technology for the company, offering up major enhancements for Rift users. AMD and NVIDIA have now both launched drivers which allow Rift developers and users alike to unlock ‘Direct Driver Mode’, a high performance, low latency way to render to the Oculus Rift headset.
